Cumann na mBunscoil & Mini 7’s Blitz

Our 1st game will take place on Monday 4th March against Ceathrú Taidgh @ Kilcommon pitch. Throw in at 10.30am approx. Best of luck to both the boys and the girls team! All supporters welcome!

Well done to both teams for their wonderful performances last week at the mini 7’s Blitz, which took place at the Tallagh Football Pitch. The boys had a tight win over Binghamstown in their first game and although they put up a good fight against the Belmullet boys in the second game, it unfortunately was not reflected in the score when the final whistle blew.
The girls played Glencastle in their first game and a close game it was too, with Inver claiming victory with a lead of 2 points. Their second game was much more of a challenge when they faced the Geesala team. Inver had a great start with a goal within the first 3 minutes, however this was quickly matched by the opponents. Again it was an exciting game up to the final whistle, with the fighting spirit remaining high amongst the Inver girls. But alas, it was not to be…a few quick scores in the last minute from the Geesala forwards left us trailing on the scoreboard. A wonderful display from both the boys and girls team on the day. We are all very proud of ye!

Our Christmas Concert

We are working hard on our Christmas concert. The name of the concert is called Witness. Everyone knows the songs. The older class are saying lines. Caolan and Leanne are Mary and Joseph. All the older children have to wear costumes. We cannot wait for it!

Our First Holy Communion

We are making our First Holy Communion on the 20th of May. There are five children making it- Sophie, Grace, Shauna, Rosaleen and Kian. We are very excited. We are learning our prayers. We are doing the prayers of the faithful and the first and second readings. We are singing a song called This Little Light Of Mine. Most of the school will be joining in. We are putting pieces of art in the church. After the mass we are going up to the Community Centre to get some treats. We had to go shopping for our special clothes. It will be the best Communion ever.

The End By Sophie and Grace.
