Catholic Schools Week

Beidh Aifreann sa scoil ar 29 Eanair ar a 12 a chlog do Seachtain na Scoileanna Caitleacha. 

There will be Mass in the school on Tuesday 29 January at 12 o’cock for Catholic Schools Week.

The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2013 is: ‘Catholic Schools in the Community of Faith: Sharing the Good News’. Catholic Schools Week 2013 will be mindful of two major issues for the year 2013 (a) Year of Faith and (b) Share the Good News. The theme of CSW 2013 reflects both. CSW 2013 will begin on Sunday January 27 2013 and end on February 3 2013.

Our Christmas Concert

We are working hard on our Christmas concert. The name of the concert is called Witness. Everyone knows the songs. The older class are saying lines. Caolan and Leanne are Mary and Joseph. All the older children have to wear costumes. We cannot wait for it!

An Chéad Comaoineach~ First Holy Communion

Inné chuaigh mé go dtí an Chéad Comaoineach. Ar maidin chuaigh mé ar Aifreann leis an rang Comaoineamh. Tar éis Aifrinn, chuaigh mé go dtí an Ionad Phobail. Bhí ceapairí agus tae agus milséan ann. Ansin chuaigh mé go dtí Ostán Broadhaven. D’ith mé an dhinnéar ansin. D’ith Éilís mairteoil agus d’ith Éilís eile mozzarella sticks. Bhí an bia go h-alainn. Ansin chuaigh mé féin agus Éilis amach sa lobby. Bhí an spóirt againn agus tá an-tuirse orainn inniú. Slán anois.

Preparing for First Holy Communion~ Ag ullmhú don Chéad Comaoineach

Tá na daltaí i Rang a Dó ag ullmhú don Chéad Comaoineach.
The pupils in Rang a Dó are getting ready for their First Holy Communion on May 20th.

We are practicing singing a speical song with them. The song is called ‘This little Light of mine’. It is very good and the actions are great too but we had to change them lots of times. We’ve started practising down in the church now too. We both really like this song and we’ll really enjoy singing it on the big day with all our friends.
