Maths Week

During Maths Week we all had lots of fun doing our Maths activities. The senior room made lemonade – enough for everybody in the school! They had to work out how many lemons, water and sugar they would need and had to measure them all carefully. It tasted delicious! They also had lots of fun estimating and measuring outside too.

We also made a metre squared display. Each child had to cut out two 10cm square pieces. Some children had to cut out more than two. The older children stuck all of these 10cm pieces together to make one big Metre squared display.

In the junior room, we did lots of Maths activities. We made some patterns using ourselves and we had fun using our dice cards and our counters. We also collected pictures of Maths things that are all around us. The senior room helped us too. Some of the children played Maths Boardgames, some children got to do Maths on the IPAD and some did their Manga high challenges on the laptops. It was great fun!

  2. Thank you for your comment Alyssa. It was really cool when we were measuring our lemonade it spilled everywhere. We had to do lots of maths things like sums and stuff. The most thing i liked doing for maths week was the lemonade and it tasted nice.
