We love our school Inver NS! Our school is 129 years old but yet it is still standing tall! Sadly, we are a small school and only have 29 pupils in our school, two teachers, a help teacher and a secertary, but luckily that’s not keeping us down! Our school football teams’ colours are black and red and our school is painted white and purple. We are a green school and an active school.

A green school means a school is environmentally friendly and recycles. When you become a green school your school gets a special flag called a green flag.
When we became a green school we were very happy and we had a special raising the flag ceremony and all the parents of the children in the school came. One of the years we got the green flag Jedward came to our school! Lots of people and schools from around the area came to see them! Being an active school means that all the children in your school are involved in sports. We also had a raising of the flag ceremony for that too!

When our school became 125 years old we had a very special ceremony that lasted a while. We used to go up to the community centre, right here in Inver, and have some celebrations there, as well as the ones in the school! One night there was a party up in the community centre and lots of people went to it. We got a very special cake that was in the shape of our school and Rosín, who was the youngest in the school at the time, cut the cake. We all got a slice. It was very nice!

We love our school and we think it’s one of the best schools in Ireland!

Our school
Our school is a nice small school with three class rooms and three toilets each for the boys and girls. We have two teachers in our school. One teacher teaches all the younger classes and the other teacher teaches 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th class.

We have 2 green flags. We are working on our 3rd one which is for conserving water. Our very first flag was for reducing litter. Jedward came to raise the flag. Our second flag was for conserving energy.

There are 29 pupils in our school. The colours on the walls of the school are cream and purple. We got an astroturf on our field. We have an interactive white board. Our teachers names are Múinteoir Máirin and Múinteoir Máirín. Our break times are at 11:00 o’clock and 12:30.
