Firstly, the children listened to a story based on displaying our feelings. Next, they worked on a think, pair, share activity based on the information they are heard.
Finally, the children worked in groups to act out various scenes from the story.
The children working very well together today, as they took part in buddy reading.
Last Wednesday, the children had the opportunity to take part in ‘Maths Power Hour.’ They worked in groups and changed stations every 15 minutes.

The children had great fun and are working on further developing their Numeracy skills through active activities. We are looking forward to the next session!
On Friday, the child had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite character from a book. The costumes were fabulous.
Also, to celebrate the day, the children took part in DEAR time-‘ Drop Everything and Read.’ The children listened to an extract from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and then completed activities on this amazing book. The children loved this exercise.

The children also created excellent pieces of art using paint and drawing and fabric and fibre based on winter.
The children worked on the Fundamental Movement Skill of ‘Jumping for Height’ and the strand of games today. The children worked in groups to play various games. They then worked in smaller groups to create games using footballs, bean bags and cones. They children then displayed their games to the other children.
The children made fabulous crosses on Friday evening for Saint Bridget’s Day.
The children worked very well on the FMS for this month-balancing. They then had great fun performing a Folk Dance.
