We had lots of fun making our paper bag homes. We also learned about different homes across the world. Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin!
Lots of fun measuring!
Just a few little snaps from our very successful Wacky walk. Well done to everyone who completed the 5 km circuit, some in fancy dress! Thank you to everybody who supported the event and our wonderful enthusiastic fundraising committee who organised it all.
I hope now that you have all had a taste of the beautiful Cross lake loop, you might be inspired to join the Parkrun which takes place every Saturday morning at 9.30am.
What a busy week we have all had! Well done to every pupil who participated to the best of their ability, throughout all of the various activities, organised for Active week 2018. A massive thank you to all the parents who got involved, be it helping out or participating. We really appreciate your support and the children loved watching you take part in the games also! Thank you also to our visiting coaches throughout the week! We look forward to working with you again next year! Here are a few snaps shots of the week!
Another great week learning new techniques in gymnastics! This week we enjoyed a fun tag warm activity, plenty of stretching and side carts! Thank you Lorraine!
We have had so much fun participating in gymnastics sessions with Lorraine from Kids n’motion. So far we have tried rolling techniques and handstands along with many unusual stretching positions. The sun has shone throughout both lessons so please God it will continue to shine right through to Active week.
We had great fun watching our little caterpillars transform into beautiful painted lady butterflies. Alas, it was time to say goodbye to Sky, Mary, Little flower, Missy and Frederick. We released them and waved goodbye, as we know they have such an important job to do now. Butterflies play a huge role in pollination, as do bees and wasps. So we need to look after them all, as best we can!
Our little friends will live for approximately 5 more weeks(max), laying their own little eggs elsewhere, for the cycle of life to start all over again.

Our very first Painted Lady Butterfly has emerged from its Chrysalis. It is just getting used to its habitat right now. It will stay here for 3 days before being released with its friends. In the mean time we will feed it nectar and leave fruit and flowers for it to explore.
Huge congratulations to Eve who celebrated completing her 50th Parkrun recently. What an achievement! Well done Eve. You are setting a fine example for all of us!
