📗📗The month of May in the Middle Room📕📕

June4

This is a snap shot from the Middle Room for the month of May.  We worked on The Stay Safe programme, began studying our class novel ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ and learned all about Gráinne Ní Mháille in History.

The children worked on strand of Gymnastic in P.E and in Art the children created various items based on the theme of summer from clay.

We worked on An Teilifís as Gaeilge and had great fun recapping on what we had covered in the form of a Kahoot quiz.

Junior Room Nov.30th – 4th December 🎶🎁🎄🎇☃

December4

Another week gone by and the excitement for Christmas is truly building. We had a lovely surprise letter from Santa today and a special treat for all the kindness we see every day in class. Well done boys and girls! It is what Jesus wants us to be, just like Santa says ‘he is the reason we celebrate Christmas after all!’. This week we also started our Advent Kindness Calendar, where we try to complete the suggested kind act or an alternative one. Some of these so far include putting food out for the birds, taking unwanted toys to the charity shop and I know all the boys and girls are going to be flat out doing jobs for mom over the weekend!  We have had lots of fun games to practice our tricky words throughout the week also. The countdown is well and truly on! D.Tyrrell

Firstly, the children listened to a story based on displaying our feelings. Next, they worked on a think, pair, share activity based on the information they are heard.

Finally, the children worked in groups to act out various scenes from the story.

A huge thank you and well done to our playground leaders. For the past 6 weeks they have organised activities for both the junior room and the middle room on Thursdays. Activities ranged from stations with rockets, target practice, penalties and cooperative games to soccer and rounders also. You were so patient with the little ones and each week they looked forward to your guidance! Well done. Be proud!

We had lots of fun finding out similarites and differences amongst our friends.

Toys, toys and more toys!!!

January7

The children had lots of fun during their Aistear time today.  We got to explore how some toys work/move, explored the different sounds we could hear and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing and showing the toys to our friends. Múinteoir even squeezed in a visit to the tattoo parlour. She was very lucky to get an appointment as the tatoo artists were extremely busy! This week we will be looking at how toys have changed over the years., in our History lesson.
